The 4 pillars that determine your personal quality as a leader

Experts have found out that the results – but above all the limits – of a company or organization are largely determined by the knowledge and skills of its leaders. And critical to the success of the organization is the psychology of the leader. That means, if you want to lead others properly, you have to be in a “leadership condition”; top fit; mentally, emotionally and physically. Do not compare yourself with others, but become the best version of yourself that you can be. Your power, your motivation and your potential are within you. Competition may be fun and helpful up to a point, but it should not be the main focus for growth. You are not someone else; you are you.

If you can define the following four points/pillars for yourself, then you know where you stand and what you may need to work on.

1. Health & Fitness

How fit are you? Are you free of diseases? Are you full of energy in the morning to tackle the tasks of the day with enthusiasm?  Are you getting enough restful sleep? Are you satisfied with your weight? Do you feel ready to perform?

2. Personality & Growth

How much time and money do you invest in your development? Are you open for new things? Are you constantly developing yourself? Are you aware of your strengths and weaknesses? Do you live your strengths?  Do you believe in yourself and your abilities? Do you radiate self-confidence? Are you calm and authentic? How satisfied are you with yourself as a person?  Do crises and changes frighten you? Or are you absolutely convinced that you can acquire everything you need to master any challenge?

3. Sense and Fulfillment of your tasks and profession

Are you really happy with your job?  Is your job something you really enjoy and are passionate about? Do you feel comfortable with your colleagues, employees, bosses, customers? How fulfilling is your work? Do you see the opportunities that your tasks and job offer you? Or are you being remote controlled and doing tasks you don’t really want to do? Do you know your values? Do you live and act according to your values? Do you feel that what you do enriches you and others? Are you on a good path?

4. Love, Partnership, Joy of life.

Your private and social environment; is it balanced? Do you draw strength and energy from it and does your social environment enrich you? Do you feel loved and accepted as you are? Do you spend enough time with your loved ones? Do they support you? Do you enjoy time with your loved ones or perhaps prefer to be alone? Do you have friends you can count on and rely on?

Leaders are very aware that they can’t help, motivate, inspire and lead others until they can lead and know themselves damn well. They deal intensively with their own inner beliefs, strengths and weaknesses and with the perception and actions of themselves.

Leaders know that only when you know yourself well, you also know your real potential and thus create the important basis for a high level of self-awareness and self-confidence.

All people have a huge treasure of potential and possibilities, but only leaders and top personalities know how to bring this potential to fruition.
